What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Hitch-mounted Vise Plate from Flint Hill Goods. So it's gonna go in the hitch of your vehicle. You can mount your vise to it that way you can use it wherever your job site might be. Let's check it out. One of the nice things about this is it is adjustable.

So you can have different heights for whatever you might need. You're gonna have 18 inches of adjustability. There's gonna be nine holes in here to choose from to get that height. And each one of those holes is two inches apart. It's gonna be held together by these two plates.

We have a bolt that runs through the hole on the shank. So then as you tighten down the nut on this side, it's gonna bring it together to help hold it in place and stabilize it. So while you're using the vise, you don't have to worry about it shaking on you. And since you have to tighten the plates down, you are gonna need tools to adjust this. So if you do need to change the height, you will have to use those to loosen this, remove the plates, and drop the post down.

So it's not just a clip and a pin, but I think this is better 'cause it's just so much more stable this way. So another thing that helps keep this all stable, we've got the anti-rattle device here on the shank. So with this tightened down here, it's gonna push up on the shank pushing it up in the hitch, which removes all that movement. I can shake the whole truck back and forth, and you don't see any rattling around. Without it, it would move up and down just a little bit when you did that.

Now you also have the anti-rattle bolts in there. So that's gonna help that side to side movement. And you see again, no shake and play. So these working together just help keep that stability when you're using the vise. Now, measuring from the center of the hitch pin to the end, this is gonna add 17 and a half inches to the back of your truck. So keep that in mind when it's there. You're not gonna be able to use your tailgate and use it as a work bench. So if you want to use that in combination, unfortunately you can't, and you also cannot drive with this in the hitch. So when you are done using it, you should remove it and throw it in the truck bed. The plate itself is gonna be a measure of 7 and 7/8 long by 7 and 7/8 wide. It's got the four slotted holes here and there too. So that's gonna be able to adapt to many different vises that you put on top of there. Now it doesn't come with the vise. This is sold separately, and you'll have to get your own hardware to mount it as well. It has a sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish, and then also with the vise added on, it has a weight capacity of 200 pounds. Overall, I was impressed by the stand. I like that it is mobile. So wherever the job site is, you're gonna have the vise that you can rely on, especially when it's as sturdy as this. So, with those plates and this tightened down, I can shake the whole truck back and forth. You see, there's no rattling down here or up here. So that means I can trust the vise when I need to use it.
